the speaker & presentation management service
for easier and more effective events

"A conference with poor speakers is like a library with no books - a complete waste of time!"

As a conference or event organiser you will be very aware that reputations are fragile things. They take a long time to build and can be destroyed at a stroke.

You will have given very careful thought to every aspect and detail of your forthcoming conference; but what about the standard and quality of the presentations? Why, in the 21st century, are so many events still spoiled by poorly prepared or badly delivered presentations?

Conferences these days don’t come cheap. We are all aware of the endless list of “essentials”; the venue, the AV equipment, registration, delegate packs, food, accommodation, etc. Each presents an opportunity to have a positive, neutral or negative effect on your reputation.

As a result, an enormous amount of time goes in to planning every tiny detail to ensure that everything will be perfect. So, with nothing apparently left to chance, how is it that the presenters are often uncontrolled and allowed to undo so much of the hard work put into the rest of the event?

Surely the presentations at your event deserve the same level of consideration as any other essential aspect.

Giving Some Thought To The Presenters

A few speakers are brilliant, most are OK and, at every conference, there seem to be one or two that are just terrible.

The best are in high demand and are usually very busy.  Occasionally they can let you down due to travel problems on their very tight schedules, they can fail to meet your deadlines for speaker profiles or for the submission of their presentation slides, or perhaps they don't quite understand your brief and speak "off-message".

The rest, even though they may be subject experts, struggle to a larger or lesser extent to communicate effectively from the platform.  It’s not that they don’t do their best, it’s because their best just isn’t good enough.

Wouldn't it be good if you could off-load all these problems to somebody else and at the same time know that your speakers were going to be helped.  Doesn't this sound like a win:win:win solution?

Presentation & Speaker Management Services

Up until now, conference organisers have had to pussyfoot round this central issue, treating speakers like prima donnas so as not to upset them and lose their support, damaging the event before it has even started.

Now there is a solution. The Speaker’s Friend is a professional organisation that understands what it is like to be a presenter and also to be reliant on presenters. We can help transform the conference experience into one which is both enjoyable and rewarding for all concerned.

By sub-contracting both the management of the speakers and the co-ordination of their presentations to us, you know that you will have already done everything you can to raise the standard and quality of the central object of your event to the highest level.

It’s never too soon or too late to get us involved.

From ideas and planning, through organising and co-ordinating, to logistics and support on the day, we have it covered.

The best thing is, through working with your speakers, we get to check out their competence, readiness and compliance with your theme/message all at the same time. This allows suitable remedial action to be taken immediately. As a result, there are no more last minute panics or, worse still, speakers who go “off-message”, cause damage to your event, and waste your audience’s valuable time.

Presentation & Speaker Management Plus

In addition to our core services, we are also able to provide experienced MCs, offer Speaker Understudies, and supply skilful meeting/workshop facilitators where discussion/ interaction needs to be both encouraged and managed.
